Casa Degar is a DEFINITE

Casa Degar was a perfect stay for my day in Rio! The studio had EVERYTHING needed to be comfy and cozy including a kitchenette, fridge, and Netflix :-). I didn't use the patio but it was beautiful to have the lush greenery outside the room with a view of the buildings behind it. Location was ideal as I was only 10 mins from Beco do Batman in an Uber, and even the neighborhood had a few places that were worth exor8ng if you had the time. It is on a hill though so I didn't venture out on foot, but it was easily located by my Uber drivers, seamless entry, and the host was gracious in answering all of my pesky questions as I was alone and didn't want to have any issues arriving in the rain. The bed was extremely comfy and the design was beautiful. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone in Sao Paolo for sure!

A beautiful oasis in the middle of the city

It is a beautiful space. I had to book it very last minute because my previous stay did not work out, and I was so grateful that the owner Fabio was able to accommodate me. He met me at 10:00 pm to let me in, and was even able to provide an adapter for my charger. The air conditioning was especially welcomed on a 30 degree day.

It’s up a very steep hill so it’s a little hard to walk there.

Beautiful room in safe area

The house is located in a very quiet and safe area. Therefore, you can walk to the cafes nearby, if you're not deterred by the hills. The rooms are beautifully furnished and decorated and the small balcony is filled to the brim with tropical plants, giving you a bit of an urban jungle feel when looking out. The communication was very easy - despite not seeing the host, we got all the info we needed.

Upon arrival, there were some ants and other insects in the room (probably due to the open balcony door). A mosquito screen would be great. Also, it was overall clean, but could have been a little more polished (spiderwebs in some corners and the bathroom mirror still had some toothpaste spots). Those are just minor issues though, overall it was a nice stay.

Lovely stay with helpful communication

Great location in a chilled neighbourhood, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It felt very private but Fabio was always available by message.

We needed more plates and cutlery in the kitchen for two people.

peaceful, cool, comfy and clean place.

Highly recommended! The whole place is super cool, wonderful, comfortable and very clean. The host is very friendly, attentive and helped me with great recommendations for restaurants and cafes in the Pinheiros area. If you're in doubt, I guarantee you won't regret it! Important point is that you will need to use uber/taxi to go to the place.

We would definitelly recommend this place to others

This property is well located and we found it to be close to amanities and attractions.We also found the neighbourhood to be very safe as we walked around at night .Apartment itself is well designed and offers an oasis of peace and tranquility in a busy city.Host is extremly helpful and he made us feel welcome.We were very happy with our stay and would definitelly stay there again if we happen to be in Sao Paulo.We wuold also recommend it to others.

Very pleasant loft, excellent use of space, extremely comfortable! A dreamy bed & charming backyard

Quiet location, perfect architecture, super comfortable. Great use of space, lovely backyard.

For those arriving late, with no possibility to do some shopping before, adding a water filter would be quite handy.

Great loft, great location and great host

The host Fabio is very kind and was answering quickly to our request! The location is really good, we wanted to be near vila madalena and pinheros and it was perfect! The loft was spacious and there was a small kitchen I highly recommend this place

The language barrier is kind of big in Brazil so our arrival was more tricky but you just have to be patient and use google translate!! Fabio speaks a fluid english so it was very helpful as well!
